GEP is Gauteng's own enterprise agency. Its financial support includes micro finance, start-up and growth loans, and contract or purchase-order finance for Gauteng-based businesses and co-operatives; its non-financial support covers business plans, compliance, training and market access at no cost.

It publishes calls for proposals and township-economy programmes on its public notices page, and applications go through an online portal. Other provinces have equivalents (ECDC in the Eastern Cape, Ithala in KwaZulu-Natal, LEDA in Limpopo, the Free State Development Corporation, NWDC, Casidra in the Western Cape).

SMME or co-operative registered and operating in Gauteng; tax compliant; majority South African-owned.
