Welcome to the AmaZulu lodge website! AmaZulu Lodge is a recently built top accommodation located in the village of St Lucia,the gateway to iSimangaliso Wetland Park (the Greater St Lucia wetland park). The region is also known as the Elephantcoast which is 280 km of unspoilt coastline on the Indian ocean, stretching from St Lucia to the border of Mozambique.

There are six comfortable and well equipped bedrooms en-suite with spectacular sea and mountain views. Each has a private balcony, ceiling fan, heater, hair dryer, radio alarm clock, safe, TV (satellite) and telephone. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge in each room. There is a PABX system with wake-up call and speed dial facilities. Itemised telephone billings are provided. Wake up to the sound of the surf and bird song before enjoying a hearty breakfast in the Breakfast Bistro. We also have facilities for small conferences and parties. Ideal for work groups and functions. Meeting facilities cater comfortably for 15 delegates. Businessmen are catered for with fax and E-mail facilities. Transfers, laundry and restaurant bookings can be arranged and there is secure on-site parking.

Badger's Lodge is situated close to the Knysna Lagoon and about 3 km out of Knysna's enchanting town centre and the picturesque waterfront. We offer comfortable accommodation in African style Rondavels (thatched huts), chalets and cottages set in a large tranquil garden. A veranda and a sundeck with views over the lush valley and forest are the ideal places to spot abundant bird life, whilst the sparkling pool invites you to relax and soak up the warm African sun. All rooms are en-suite and are decorated in an African theme. Secure off street parking is available to our guests. There is also a garden timber cottage, which offers 2 self catering, semi-detached units. Each unit accommodates up to four people and consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom with shower to share for the bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and veranda with braai facilities. We provide linen and towels as well as a daily service. A chalet affords privacy and tranquility for two people - perfect for honeymooners. It has one bedroom, bathroom with shower and full bath, kitchen, lounge and veranda with braai and is also fully equipped for self-catering. Enjoy hearty English/ continental breakfasts served in the thatched dining room by the open fireplace or on the veranda. A private bar with TV (SABC only) is available for the guests. Knysna offers many outdoor activities and adventure. Laze at one of the unspoilt sandy beaches or head for some adventurous experiences in the forest such as hiking, biking, horse riding and quad biking. River Lodge Hotel Suites (x4): These suites have a spacious bedroom (3 of the suites with a double bed and the 4th with twin three-quarter beds), lounge area and full bathroom with romantic corner bath. They are situated right on the Komati River and your private veranda affords you great views of the gorge and river. Meals are available in the restaurant. Kingfisher House (sleeps 7) Lounge with fire place, dining area and fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and 1 with bunk beds), 2 en-suite bathrooms and a guest loo. The large verandah with built-in braai is great for spending time outside enjoying the spectacular scenery. Zebra Cottage (sleeps 6) Huge lounge with fire place, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, 2 en-suite bedrooms (with double beds) and a loft room, and guest loo. The Leopard Suites The Leopard Suites are self catering units for 2 persons, each with a romantic canopied double bed with electric blanket and large bathroom with feature spa baths. Each additionally has a lounge area with an open fire place, a small fully equipped kitchen with dining area and a private verandah with a built-in braai area. STONE HOUSE A spacious, thatched lodge of 140 square meters which comprises a large open plan lounge, dining area, fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms and a large full bathroom with 2 basins. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is also a spacious veranda with great views of the gorge and trout dam. Additional features are DSTV, fireplace in lounge, private braai and a hammock.

The trees are harvested at an age of 30-40 years and are used to produce high quality saw logs and veneer logs for construction furniture, panelling, doors and laminates. Other products from our plantations and processing plants include poles for agriculture, electricity and telephone lines, and biomass for electricity generation. MTO Forestry supports a range of programmes that benefit local communities. For example, the Grabouw Food Garden is sponsored by MTO in partnership with the Grabouw Municipality. The vegetables produced by this training and job creation project are then used by the Grabouw Food Kitchen to feed unemployed people in Grabouw. MTO also supports environmental and conservation programmes that protect the natural environment and create opportunities for people to learn about the importance of trees and forests. For example, MTO partnered with the Wilderness Foundation to establish the Khula Nam environmental education programme and the programme has proved so successful that the Department of Water Affairs is planning to launch it nationally.
