Our tranquil setting ensures all enjoy the break! We try to provide the ideal setting where families and friends can breakaway from the concrete jungle and relax in a picturesque environment that provides something new everyday. Sitting around the boma fire at night listening to the night owls and the jackals is special, not to mention the fish-eagle cry from the river that dissects the property. The fauna and flora attracted us to Baobab and will surely rub-off on you! The owners have now also established an indigenous nursery on the property. We do not only cater for hunters but for breakaways as well. Whilst hunting is happening, the young ones can safely ride the quads/ bikes on the property across the road on the tracks and river area provided. Catering can also be provided by either a gourmet chef or a "boerekos" specialist for those who are really not in the mood to cook. Menus are available for perusal and selection of menus are made to complement ones taste. We do however require at least two weeks notice if catering is required. Costs for this service will be provided if required.
Although the Centre celebrated its tenth anniversary on 17 November 2000, the roots of the Centre can be traced back to 1890! Although the Centre previously hosted a number of other sporting codes, such as chess, rowing, triathlon and cycling, athletics, and in particular road running and walking, is the dominant sporting code. The clubhouse is a facility admired and appreciated by all members. It provides a spacious hall, fully licensed bar, kitchen and cloak rooms with showers for both sexes. A club secretary serves the needs of members from Monday to Thursday from 17:00 - 19:00. Facilities are available for rent to the public for workshops, meetings and functions.

Facilities include a large TV lounge, pool table, bar and large balcony overlooking Long Street with a vibrant nightlife and trendy restaurants, bars and lounges. Furthermore Travel Agencies and bicycle & surfboard hire outlets are situated right next to the Cat & Moose.
