Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Inherent requirements of the job: Will be required to work shifts, night duty, weekends, public holidays as well as overtime. Willingness to rotate within the hospital. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good communication and interpersonal relationships. Knowledge to relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape.
