Kosi Bay home to the rare Palm Nut Vulture and breeding place of the Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles, the area is only one of two where Raffia Palms are to be found in South Africa. The lodge is perfectly situated to really get the full benefit of what is on offer in this very special region. A number of lakes and streams enter the sea at Kosi Bay and the region is famous for numerous pristine beaches. Much of the area is protected within the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve with several hiking trails. Kosi Bay is known for its lush vegetation - fig and raffia palm forests, lakes, beaches and mangrove swamps.
