The mission of the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is to provide safe, sustainable and integrated transport infrastructure and services for the promotion of socio-economic development, and to intensify the fight against crime and corruption through an integrated approach, partnerships and effective oversight in the South African Police Service. The Department's strategic goals are: an efficient, competitive and responsive economic infrastructure network; a skilled and capable workforce to support an inclusive growth path; to oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of the police service, including receiving reports on the police service; to promote good relations between the police and the community; vibrant, equitable, sustainable rural communities contributing towards food security for all; and to ensure that all people in South Africa are safe and feel safe.
