Red Location Museum

About

The Museum, uniquely situated on a "hotspot" site of the former Apartheid struggle, is a major tourist attraction and aspires to serve as an impetus for community development and transformation. The area "Red Location" derives from a series of rusted galvanized iron dwellings of which building materials originated from the Uitenhage "Boer" Concentration Camp and the Yeomanry Imperial Hospital at De Aar (1899-1902).
