Withycombe is on the Constantia Wine Route offering wine tasting together with several quality restaurants such as Uitsig, Buitenverwachting and we are close to 6 first class Golf Courses. Also within easy reach are the other attractions of the Cape Peninsula ranging from safe bathing on the pristine beaches of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, diving, boating, sailing, horse riding, biking, penguin, shark and whale watching to mountain and forest walks, scenic drives and helicopter flights. Then there are also the historical homes, museums, a world class aquarium and of course the V & A Waterfront. The home offers a large guest lounge with French doors opening onto the salt-water pool patio. Here there is quiet, comfortable seating, and a fireplace. For the businessman the Library offers working space and facilities for fax and E-mail. An informal Bar , also opens onto the pool and outside entertainment area, where visitors can enjoy making a traditional South African "Braai" (BBQ). Further to the facilities around the north facing pool area there is a large thatched gazebo on the northwest side of the house. In total there is 250 square meters of paved outdoor entertainment area The breakfast room has French doors leading onto a sheltered patio and a cosy fireplace to warm winter mornings. Here a comprehensive English or Continental breakfast is served, comprising of fruit, yoghurt, a selection of cereals and breads with preserves, cheese and cold meat.
