The Garden Route District Municipality (Afrikaans: Tuinroete-distriksmunisipaliteit; Xhosa: uMasipala weSithili sase Garden Route), formerly known as the Eden District Municipality,[4] is a district municipality located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Its municipality code is DC4.

The Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC) is an independent juristic entity subject only to the Constitution, Financial and Fiscal Commission Act 99 of 1997, and relevant legislative prescripts. The Commission acts as a consultative body, makes recommendations and gives advice to Parliament, provincial legislatures, organised local government and other organs of State on the equitable division of revenue among the three spheres of government and on any other financial and fiscal matters in terms of the Constitution and as provided for in national legislation.

The Castle Control Board, a Schedule 3A Public Entity, is responsible for the overall management, maintenance and promotion of the Castle of Good Hope as a heritage site and tourist attraction. In terms of this legislative mandate the organisation is expected to provide a range of public services and goods on behalf of the Department of Defence and Military Veterans to local community members, tourists, learners, students, conservation agencies, exhibitors, performers, cultural organisations, traditional authorities, filming companies, event organisers, military institutions and the like. The Board's mission is to be a service-orientated public entity, striving to create an environment where national pride serves to build an internationally known and recognised cultural and heritage brand for Ubuntu, dialogue, nation-building and human rights recognition; guarantee the development of a smooth functioning, self-sustaining, 'must-see' iconic visitor and learner destination; optimise its tourism potential and accessibility to the public; and preserve and protect its cultural and military heritage by elevating it to UNESCO World Heritage status. The Board's vision is to be a globally significant, truly accessible centre that showcases South Africa's shared heritage. In its management of the Castle of Good Hope, the Castle Control Board has committed to infuse its programmatic and other corporate activities with the following core values: service quality and excellence; operate with honesty and dignity; respect for the diversity in military, cultural and social history; genuine partnerships and collaborative relationships; community engagement and inclusivity; and fiscal responsibility, accountability, transparency and sustainability.

The College of Cape Town for TVET is the oldest Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institution in South Africa with a proud history dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. Four former technical colleges, Athlone College, Cape College, Sivuyile College and Western Province Technical College were officially merged on 1 February 2002 to become the College of Cape Town. This arose from a rationalisation in TVET Colleges in which some 150 colleges around the country were reduced to about 50. The College of Cape Town for TVET is a public TVET College which falls under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training. The College mandate is to provide inclusive quality vocational education and training responsive to the labour market. The College has eight delivery sites or campuses that service students mostly situated in the central area of the Cape Peninsula, and serves the greater Cape Town Metropolitan region, including a large percentage of the previously disadvantaged areas and townships (rural and peri-urban areas). All campuses, including the Central Office, are based in the Central Metropole region of Cape Town and are located within an approximate 20km radius. The Central Office is located in Kent Street, Salt River. All campuses are accessible by public transport - bus, My-Citi bus, Metrorail and taxi. Although the majority of the students hail from the greater Cape Town metropolitan region, students from other regions of South Africa, Namibia and African countries and many countries abroad, are accepted. Courses offered lead to recognised accredited qualifications that are in high demand by commerce and industry. The College offers an extensive range of programmes, including National Certificate Vocational (NCV) on Levels 2 to 4, NATED Report 191 on N4 to N6, National N Diploma, Occupational Qualifications on Level 1 to 5, Short Skills and other Skills Programmes, Learnerships, Artisan Related Learning Programmes (ARLP) and Trade Testing. The College also offers Higher Education programmes in partnership with the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), a Higher Certificate in Information Communication Technology. The College strives to provide high-quality education and training to equip learners with the qualifications and skills needed to start on a chosen career path. There are various support services offered to students including academic support, work-integrated learning, health and wellness services, sport and recreation. It is the vision of the College of Cape Town to be the preferred provider of Education and Training. Wesgro is the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape. The Agency is the first point of contact for foreign buyers, local exporters and investors wishing to take advantage of the unlimited business potential in the region. Wesgro works closely with key players including the national, provincial and local government. Its mandate is to facilitate foreign and domestic direct investment into the region; exports of products and services through development of export capability, demand and market access; and to promote Cape Town and the Western Cape as a viable business, leisure and film destination.

The Atlantis Special Economic Zone Company's (ASEZCo) mission is to develop a sustainable greentech SEZ which creates a conducive business environment for the Green economy and integrated economic growth and employment. In achieving this mission, the ASEZCo aims to become Africa's leading, globally competitive and export-orientated greentech manufacturing zone and a Living Lab demonstrating the highest standards of good governance, low carbon and resource efficient economic development and social inclusion. In doing so, the ASEZCo will also contribute to global well-being through commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UNIDO Eco-Industrial Park Principles. The ASEZCo has several key objectives, some of which are already being implemented. They include the development of a sustainable greentech SEZ in Atlantis; attracting and retaining export focused greentech investors into the Atlantis SEZ who value local integration; establishing and maintaining a conducive business environment for the green economy; and fostering local economic growth, employment and revitalisation.

Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET)

<p>The National Assembly (NA) is one of the two Houses of Parliament. The National Assembly is responsible for choosing the President, passing laws, ensuring that the members of the executive perform their work properly, and providing a forum where the representatives of the people can publicly debate issues.</p><p>The Speaker is the head and spokesperson of the National Assembly. The Speaker has many responsibilities, which include constitutional, statutory (in terms of the law), procedural and administrative powers and functions. The duties of the Speaker fall broadly into three categories, namely: presiding over sittings of the House, maintaining order and applying its rules; acting as representative and spokesperson for the Assembly and (with the Chairperson of the Council) for Parliament; and acting as Chief Executive Officer for Parliament, in conjunction with the Chairperson of the Council.</p><p><br><br></p>

<p>The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) is one of the two Houses of Parliament. The NCOP is constitutionally mandated to ensure that provincial interests are taken into account in the national sphere of government. This is done through participation in the national legislative process and by providing a national forum for consideration of issues affecting provinces.</p><p>The NCOP also plays a unique role in the promotion of the principles of Cooperative Government and Intergovernmental Relations. It ensures that the three spheres of government work together in performing their unique functions in terms of the Constitution and that, in doing so, they do not encroach on each other's area of competence. This ensures that synergy exists between the spheres on matters of concurrent competence.</p>

<p>The mission of the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning is to promote a resilient, sustainable, quality and inclusive living environment in support of human well-being.</p><p>The Department's strategic goals are: sustaining the ecological and agricultural resource bases; sustainable and integrated urban and rural settlements; good governance, integrated management and increased economic opportunity through low-carbon development, resource efficiency and the biodiversity economy.</p><p>The Constitution provides that everyone has the right to an environment that is not harmful to their health or well-being; and to have the environment protected, for the benefit of present and future generations, through reasonable legislative and other measures that prevent pollution and ecological degradation; promote conservation; and secure ecologically sustainable development and use of natural resources while promoting justifiable economic and social development.</p>

<p>Paarl Hospital is a referral general specialist hospital for the West Coast and Cape Wineland’s District and a District Hospital for the Drakenstein sub-district<strong>. </strong>The 331 bed facility caters to the medical needs of a vast geographical area of approximately 22 500 square kilometres and a population of over&nbsp; 900 000.</p>
